Cardiff City manager Russell Slade targets January signings

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade says he wants to add "a couple" of players to his squad in January to boost his side's promotion chances.
The Bluebirds were 15th in the Championship when Slade took over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in early October.
They have lost just two league games since and are now eighth in the table, six points behind leaders Derby.
"If we can add a couple to the group things will be a lot better," said Slade.
"We're going in the right direction...but I think there's lots of work still to be done and a lot of improvement still to come from the group that we've got," he told Sport Wales.
Cardiff will be going for their sixth straight home league victory when they host Rotherham on Saturday.
A win against the Millers will be their third success in a row in the league, having followed up the 2-1 home win against Reading with their first away success of the season at Watford.
If the Bluebirds win and results go their way they could climb into the play-off places, something Slade is keen to do before the new year.
"Our medium term goal, which I set many, many weeks ago was to come out of the Christmas period into January with a top six slot," said Slade.
"Whether we are able to do that Saturday, which would be wonderful, I don't know, but a win is going to take us that little bit closer."
The game against newly promoted Rotherham, who are 10 points behind the Bluebirds in 21st, is the first of five fixtures for Slade's side before the January transfer window opens.
The former Leyton Orient boss believes the festive fixtures could be define his side's chances of success in their request to return to the Premier league at the first attempt.
"Statistically I think you'll find that when you get into January those positions at the top don't change that much," said Slade.
"You might get one or two that get into the top six or one or two that drop out but it won't change remarkably after January."
You can watch the Russell Slade interview on Sport Wales. The programme is broadcast every Friday, BBC Two Wales at 19:00 GMT, or on iPlayer for seven days after transmission.
