Rob Edwards: Cheltenham appoint ex-Tranmere boss as assistant
- Published
Former Tranmere manager Rob Edwards has been named as Paul Buckle's assistant at League Two side Cheltenham.
Buckle was appointed last week and looked set to retain his former Bristol Rovers and Torquay colleague Shaun North as his number two.
But Cheltenham confirmed North's exit after only six months on Wednesday.
Edwards, 41, was assistant at Exeter City, where Buckle spent five years as a player, before spending five months in charge at Tranmere.
He was sacked in October with Rovers bottom of the Football League, registering only two wins from 12 League Two games.
