Conference side Wrexham will play former Wales manager Mark Hughes' Stoke City away in the FA Cup third-round.

The Dragons, who beat Maidstone 3-1 in round two, are one of eight non-league sides still in the competition.

Kevin Wilkin's side will travel to play Premier League Stoke between 3 and 6 January 2015.

Swansea City will play the winners of Oxford United and Tranmere Rovers away, while Cardiff City are at home against Colchester United.

"It's a fantastic draw for us and we are very much looking forward to it," said Wrexham manager Kevin Wilkin.

"Hopefully there's revenue on all fronts and my big hope is that it's a day that everyone can remember. It's the FA Cup and we can still dream."

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade says the draw against League One strugglers Colchester gives his Championship side an opportunity to progress in the competition.

"You always want to playing against one of the top Premier League teams," said Slade.

"But this gives us a real opportunity to progress.

"You can get real momentum out of a cup run and if we can get that I think it will be great for the football club."
