Darren Ferguson: Peterborough boss 'unbelievable' - Zakuani
- Published
Peterborough United defender Gabby Zakuani has praised boss Darren Ferguson for how he is dealing with mounting pressure.
Posh are winless in six League One games and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Colchester at the weekend.
"People have been frustrated. People are entitled to their opinion and have booed and it's been hard for him," Zakuani told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
"The gaffer has been unbelievable. I don't know how he's done it."
A section of Posh fans reacted to their side's 3-0 defeat by league leaders Bristol City last week with boos, and there are growing concerns about results after the London Road side slipped from second place to ninth in the space of seven weeks.
"He's a top manager and he's dealing with the pressure very well," said 28-year-old Zakuani.
"I've seen him for a long time now and you can definitely see that he has grown as a manager. He's keeping a cool head and keeping everyone calm.
"We've got young players and they're learning every day. It's up to players like myself, with experience, to help people through."
