Port Vale: Achille Campion signs 18-month contract

Campion, who was on trial with Bradford in July, also had trials with Sheffield Wednesday, Yeovil and Ipswich

Port Vale have completed the signing of French striker Achille Campion from Swedish side Norrby IF for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old was originally brought in on loan by former Vale boss Micky Adams in early September.

He was kept waiting three months for his debut, but has done enough in two outings from the bench to be offered an 18-month contract.

The new deal, which runs until the end of next season, starts on 2 January.

Vale stand 15th in League One going into the New Year, but are just four points shy of the play-offs.
