Stoke's Ryan Shotton completes Derby move for undisclosed fee

Defender Ryan Shotton has also scored twice in his 14 appearances on loan with the Rams

Derby County have signed Stoke defender Ryan Shotton on a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Shotton, 26, originally signed for Steve McClaren's men on loan in August, but he has now completed a deal which keeps him at the iPro Stadium until the summer of 2017.

Rams head coach McClaren said: "We're pleased to welcome Ryan Shotton to the club on a permanent basis.

"He's shown he's an important member of the squad with his versatility."
