Truro City wait for decision on Corby Town abandonment

Truro City are waiting to find out if their Southern Premier League match against Corby Town will be replayed after it was abandoned following an 85th minute floodlight failure.

City had just pulled a goal back through Ben Gerring to trail 2-1 when the lights went out at Treyew Road.

Results elsewhere meant Truro dropped to seventh place in the table.

"It's a very strange feeling as we're in no-man's land with the result," boss Steve Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We had just scored to get the momentum back and we wanted a real good push for the last five or 10 minutes of the game.

"I wasn't happy to play without the lights, they wanted to play as they were five minutes from three points so they'd want to carry on."

Overall, Tully was satisfied with his side's performance.

"We defended well, got in good areas, but we just didn't take our chances.

"We had enough chances in the first half and in the second half before they scored the first to be one or two-nil up.

"That's the biggest thing, if you take your chances in this league and score the first goal you'll go on and win the game, we've got to make sure we do that."
