Truro City hope to extend the loan of MK Dons goalkeeper Charlie Burns.

The 19-year-old, who joined a month's loan earlier in November, has played twice for Truro and is set to reclaim his place for Saturday's Southern Premier League trip to Dunstable Town.

Burns was rested for Tuesday's Southern League Cup match at Bridgwater Town.

"Charlie's come in and done very well for us. We'll probably look to extend his loan in the long run," manager Steve Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"He's come in and kept two clean sheets, but I think everyone in front of him's done a better job and defended the goal a lot better.

"We said if we can stop the goals going in we know we score a few goals and we seem to have done that.

"We've kept five clean sheets in the last seven games so we're heading in the right direction."
