Truro City need nine wins to get a spot in the Southern Premier League play-offs, according to boss Steve Tully.

The White Tigers came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 at rivals Hitchin with goals from Shane White and Barry Hayles.

City are fifth in the table, four points off leaders Weymouth, who have three games in hand, with only the winner gaining automatic promotion.

"We need nine wins out of 17 and we've got four coming up at home," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

Truro gave a debut to former Torquay United striker Danny Sullivan, who signed for the club on Friday.

"He came on and was a different class for us," Tully said.

"He knows how to keep hold of the ball - which we definitely need - and he's going to be a great asset for us.

"He knows the league, he knows most of the lads here, so it's fitted in well."

City have also got Bristol Rovers youngster Danny Greenslade back on loan for the rest of the season after the left-back was offered a professional deal at his parent club.

"They told him he wasn't going to be in and around the first team, but they'll give him another contract," Tully added.

"He's been a real solid left back for us, which we've needed. He's come in and done a great job.

"Hopefully we can help his development as well."
