Cardiff City have signed striker Eoin Doyle from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee worth around £1m.

The 26-year-old, who has scored 25 goals this season, joins on a contract which runs until the summer of 2018.

"When I heard about Cardiff's interest this morning, I couldn't ignore it," said Doyle.

Cardiff have also signed two players from Everton, winger Matthew Kennedy on a permanent deal and forward Conor McAleny on loan.

Kennedy, 20, joins for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract, while McAleny, 22, is on loan for the rest of the season.

Two players leaving Cardiff are 20-year-old midfielder Tommy O'Sullivan and striker Daniel Johnson, who have joined Port Vale and Stevenage respectively on one-month loan deals.

The Bluebirds have, however, rejected a £2m bid from Norwich City for winger Craig Noone, who Cardiff believe is worth at least £5m.
