Andy - Season ticket holder: I'm glad QPR haven't signed anyone we already have good players. All we need is a manager with modern ideas to get the best out of the squad.

Andy: Good luck Darren Fletcher, all the best for the future at WBA you served United well, all the best.

James, Finsbury Park: Kellett to United is the strangest loan since Conor Thomas from Coventry to Liverpool in 2011. He never played a minute.

Former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill will not be coming back to the Premier League - he has joined Shanghai Shenhua after the New York Red Bulls announced he had left the club by mutual consent.

The 35-year-old said: "I've done the Premier League, I've done America. New York was amazing for me but China is a growing market in football.

"You see in the Asian Cup quarter-final game that we played against China, millions of people watched it and I'm someone who is embracing culture and a different aspect of life.

"I'm at an age where I want to give something back to football and still play at a high level.

"I think it's exciting. To still be in demand and have the offers I've had is special but this will be massive for me as a player on and off the park."

Hull vice-chairman Ehab Allam on the signing of Dame D'Noye:

"It's taken us three weeks and we almost missed the deadline so it's been fantastic news to get it over the line. It's just been a long day of negotiations, very stressful. It's broken down on several occasions but Steve Bruce was in France with the player and he managed to get it over the line."

  6. Celtic wrap up double dealpublished at 00:30 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2015

Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven have joined Celtic from Dundee United after the clubs agreed deals on transfer deadline day.

Celtic had offered United £250,000 to take winger Mackay-Steven, 24, now rather than wait until the summer, a move that had already been agreed.

And the Glasgow club agreed a deal for both players of £2m plus add-ons.

West Ham co-chairman David Gold: "Sorry for keeping you up late but at the last moment the main deal collapsed and the rest folded like a pack of cards. Stay strong.

"I'd like to thank David Sullivan and Sam Allardyce for their efforts to secure new players during this window. However, no matter how hard you tried there are people out there that you just can't do business with."

    Thanks for voting.

Bentley Baxter: Not only did QPR sign no players on deadline day, they also alienated the one signing they did make in Zarate. Disastrous day.

Gregory P: Think Derby have had a great day, strengthened the squad whereas the other top championship clubs haven't

Lloyd Grose: Kellett was terrific for us, but can't say I'm not shocked @ManUtd have taken him! #pafc

Andy Kellett was number 43 for Bolton and has made one appearance for Wanderers this season. A quite bizarre signing.

I can't imagine Louis van Gaal was at Rotherham last week to see him play 50-odd minutes in a 4-2 defeat at Rotherham...
