Swansea City centre-back Kyle Bartley is to undergo a knee operation which will rule him out for up to six weeks.

The 23-year-old suffered a meniscus tear in his knee during a recent training session and will have an operation on Thursday.

Bartley, who joined the Swans from Arsenal in 2012, has made nine appearances this season.

Meanwhile, winger Marvin Emnes is back in training after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The former Middlesbrough player, 26, has not featured since being replaced after 16 minutes in the 1-0 win at Southampton on 1 February.
