Truro City's hopes of winning the Southern Premier League look distant after the draw with Poole Town

Truro City threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Southern Premier League leaders Poole Town at Treyew Road.

Ed Palmer and Arran Pugh were on target for City in the final three minutes of the first half as they aimed for their seventh win in eight league games.

Substitute Richard Gillespie volleyed one back for Poole midway through the second half before Michael Walker headed in an 83rd-minute equaliser.

The result keeps Truro in fourth place in the division, six points off Poole.

But Poole have four games in hand on Truro, and at least two in hand over their other title rivals.
