The son of former Nottingham Forest and England defender Des Walker made his debut for the club in a 2-0 victory over Rotherham in the Championship.
Striker Tyler Walker, 18, replaced winger Chris Burke in second-half added time at the City Ground on Wednesday.
"I was desperate to get him on and he showed some lovely little touches," Forest manager Dougie Freedman told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"He is so professional and a credit to his family that young boy."
Des Walker made 408 appearances for Forest in two spells between 1984 and 2004, and earned 59 caps for England between 1988 and 1994.
Forest, who are ninth in the table and eight points off the play-off places, have suffered injuries to strikers Britt Assombalonga (knee) and Matty Fryatt (Achilles).
