Shrewsbury secured a League Two play-off place with victory at Mansfield but stay second after leaders Burton won.

After a goalless first half, Shrewsbury striker Tyrone Barnett, on as a substitute, turned home from close range from Mark Ellis's looping cross.

Vadaine Oliver had strong penalty appeals turned down for the hosts before sub Rakish Bingham scuffed his effort when free inside the area.

It was Town's first win at Mansfield since their promotion season in 1975.

There were eight minutes of injury time after referee Tim Robinson was injured in the second half and had to be replaced by fourth official Stephen Wade.

Shrewsbury sit a point behind Burton, while Mansfield drop down to 20th, six points above the relegation places.
