Dougie Freedman: Forest boss will 'change club mentality'

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman says he will work to change the "mentality" of the club.

Forest have won seven of 13 matches since Freedman took charge on 1 February but the Reds are 13 points adrift of the play-off places.

Forest surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at Brentford on Monday and Freedman blamed his side's "sheer naivety".

"Our mentality wasn't right and that is something I will be changing in the summer," the Scot said.

"We should have been more professional in seeing the game out,"

Seventh-placed Brentford are pushing for promotion but Forest established a two-goal lead through Tyler Walker and Todd Kane.

The home side fought back with two goals in the final 10 minutes, from Andre Gray and Spanish playmaker Jota.

Freedman said: "It's a strange feeling really because I thought we were the better side and created the better chances against a very good side.

"Overall, I am happy because we looked very comfortable. But we knew they score a lot of late goals so I was disappointed at how naive we were at the end."
