Richard Brindley: Colchester sign defender after loan spell

League One side Colchester United have signed former loanee Richard Brindley on a two-year contract.
The 22-year-old defender played eight times during a loan spell from Championship club Rotherham United at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
Brindley was released by the Millers after they survived in the second tier, having made just four appearances for Steve Evans's side during the season.
He becomes U's boss Tony Humes' first signing of the summer.
