Rhys Sharpe: Notts County sign former Derby left-back

Sharpe joined Derby County as a 14-year-old

Notts County have signed Rhys Sharpe following the left-back's release by Championship side Derby County.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland Under-21 international, who can also play as a winger, has signed a two-year contract with the Meadow Lane club.

Sharpe did not play a first-team game for the Rams.

But the Nottingham-born player made three appearances during a loan spell with League Two side Shrewsbury Town last season.
