Craig Westcarr leaves Pompey to join Mansfield Town

Westcarr managed to score six goals for Portsmouth last season

Mansfield Town have signed striker Craig Westcarr from fellow League Two side Portsmouth.

The 30-year-old, who scored six goals in 21 league appearances last season, is the club's ninth summer signing.

"My aims are to work hard, score goals and have a better season than last season," Westcarr told the Stags' website.

"With the players that we're going to sign, hopefully we can have a good push for promotion," he added.

Westcarr has previously played for Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Chesterfield.
