Shaun Jeffers: Yeovil Town sign ex-Newport County striker

Yeovil Town have signed former Newport County striker Shaun Jeffers on a one-year contract.

Jeffers, 23, started his career at Coventry City and had loan spells at Cheltenham, Cambridge and Tamworth before joining Peterborough in 2013.

He moved on to Newport in January 2014 and made 22 appearances last season, scoring three goals.

His arrival at Huish Park follows the signing of ex-QPR midfielder Jordan Gibbons on Monday.
