Jon Meades: AFC Wimbledon sign ex-Oxford United defender

Jon Meades had a loan spell at Wimbledon during the 2012-13 season

Jon Meades has joined AFC Wimbledon to become their first summer arrival.

Left-back Meades, 23, who began his career at Cardiff City, was a free agent after leaving Oxford United.

He joined Bournemouth in July 2012 and had a loan spell at Wimbledon during the 2012-13 season, making 25 appearances for the Dons.

"Jon still lacks that little bit of experience, but I think by the end of the season we could have a very good player," said Dons manager Neal Ardley.
