Hearts, Hibernian and Rangers were all given home ties in the draw for the first round of the Scottish League Cup.

Hearts, the only Scottish Premiership side in the draw after winning promotion, take on Arbroath, Hibs face Montrose, while Rangers host Peterhead.

There are three local derbies in the ties, due to be played on 1 August.

Falkirk host East Stirlingshire, Cowdenbeath make a short trip to face Dunfermline Athletic and Annan Athletic entertain Queen of the South.

For the second week running, Livingston were drawn at home to Clyde, with the same sides facing one another in the Petrofac Training Cup.

Hearts will have to rearrange their first-round game as they face St Johnstone in their opening Premiership fixture on the Sunday of that weekend.

Rangers are also likely to have their tie switched as Celtic host Ross County in the Premiership opener in Glasgow on that day.

Celtic are the current League Cup holders after they defeated Dundee United 2-0 in last season's final.

The holders, other Premiership clubs and relegated St Mirren enter the competition in later rounds.
