Luke Murphy: Leeds United midfielder sidelined
- Published
Leeds United midfielder Luke Murphy is likely to miss the first few weeks of the season with a knee injury.
The 25-year-old picked up the knock in pre-season training last week and has already undergone minor surgery, head coach Uwe Rosler has confirmed.
The former Crewe man scored three goals in 32 appearances last season.
"He twisted his knee with nobody around him. He is likely to be out for between four and seven weeks," Rosler told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I'm a little bit sad for him because he has really been trying to impress and finished last season very strong.
"I know him from my time in League One when he played for Crewe and I always rated him highly."
