Fraser Franks: Former Luton Town defender joins Stevenage

Fraser Franks made 71 appearances for Welling United prior to joining Luton Town

Stevenage have signed defender Fraser Franks on a free transfer following his release by League Two rivals Luton.

Franks made 34 appearances for the Hatters having signed for the club from Welling United in January 2014.

The 24-year-old Brentford academy graduate previously had spells with Wimbledon and Newport County.

"It's a new challenge for me and a chance to prove myself. I'm really looking forward to getting going," he told the club's website.

Stevenage have not disclosed details of the centre-half's contract.
