Ryan Watson: Leicester City midfielder joins Northampton Town

Northampton Town have re-signed midfielder Ryan Watson on loan from Leicester City until 3 January.

The 22-year-old had a loan spell with the Cobblers last term cut short by a cruciate knee ligament injury.

"It was devastating at the time because you just want to play football. Leicester were great supporting me," he told BBC Radio Northampton.

"I just want to put get back playing and put that behind me, I'm feeling strong and confident."

Watson, who came through the youth ranks at Wigan before joining the Foxes in 2013, played five times for the Cobblers last season.

He added: "Building confidence is what I need. I missed a lot of football so getting League games at my career point is definitely what I need."
