Carlos Edwards has rejoined League One side Millwall on a short-term deal until January after recovering from a serious knee injury.

The 36-year-old right-back ruptured knee ligaments playing for the Lions last September and was released earlier in the summer.

Edwards had been training with the club during the off-season.

"It's been a long and hard recovery for Carlos after what was a nasty injury," boss Neil Harris told the club website., external

"He has attacked his rehab with ultimate professionalism and the belief that he would make a full recovery and he has shown tremendous willpower and determination.

"Carlos has achieved every goal that has been set for him up until now and I'm delighted that he has committed himself to us in the immediate short-term after proving his fitness levels."
