Millwall defender Carlos Edwards is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury.
The 35-year-old was stretchered off during Saturday's 0-0 draw against Championship leaders Nottingham Forest.
Lions physio Bobby Bacic said: "A scan has shown that he has significant knee ligament disruption, involving the cruciate and lateral ligaments.
"He has also sustained a rupture to the hamstring muscle. Carlos will be seeing a specialist with a view to surgery."
Edwards joined Millwall from Ipswich on a free transfer in the summer following a successful loan spell at The Den last season.
In total, the right-back has scored one goal in 16 appearances for the club.
