Reading midfielder Oliver Norwood is confident a first league win of the Championship season is not far away.

The Royals travel to Brentford on Saturday in search of three points and looking to extend a run of five games unbeaten in all competitions.

Goals have also been a concern for Steve Clarke's side following two successive goalless draws at home.

"We've started the season in good form. We're just lacking that cutting-edge," Norwood told BBC Radio Berkshire.

The 24-year-old has started every game for Reading so far this season and will meet up with the Northern Ireland squad next week for their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Faroe Islands and Hungary.

"We want to win the game before the international break as it's a long wait for the next one," he added.

"The most important thing is Saturday and then I'll start to think about Northern Ireland.

"It's a very easy group to be around here at Reading with the new faces that have come in. The lads have integrated well and we've gelled quite quickly as a team."
