Truro City boss Steve Tully says he believes his side have had a good start to life in the National League South.

The White Tigers have taken five points from five games since being promoted last season and travel to high-flying Gosport Borough on Saturday.

"We're a little bit short of where I would like to be, but we've had a good start," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"But it's time to step up now and make sure they're capable because we believe they are," he added of his squad.

Truro have drawn their last two away games at Margate and Sutton United.

"I think the way we've played away from home has been really pleasing," he said.

"We've got two draws against two of the top teams, so our away from is good.

"The shape that we have creates opportunities and we're looking forward to the game."
