Fernando Amorebieta: Fulham defender joins Middlesbrough

Fernando Amorebieta has made 34 appearances for Fulham, scoring two goals

Middlesbrough have signed defender Fernando Amorebieta from Championship rivals Fulham on a season-long loan.

As part of the deal, Boro left-back James Husband, 21, has joined Fulham on a one-month loan.

Venezuela international Amorebieta has made 34 appearances for the Cottagers since joining in 2013, but finished last season on loan at Boro.

The 30-year-old featured five times for the Teesiders, scoring in the play-off semi-final first-leg win at Brentford.

Husband also had a brief spell with Kit Symons's side last season, making five league appearances.
