Michael Rankine's strike in the fifth minute of injury time earned Altrincham a draw to cruelly deny Kidderminster Harriers their first win of the season.

Alty led when James Lawrie's corner went in at the near post, but Harriers levelled before the break through Callum Hassan's powerful shot.

Midfield debutant Ben Whitfield's goal appeared to have secured Harriers a first win in 17 matches this season.

But big striker Rankine netted with a powerful free-kick from 20 yards.

Hope for Dave Hockaday's Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers remain without a win in 17 National League matches this season. But they have drawn five out of their last seven away games - and their three most recent defeats have all been by the odd goal.

Following a defensive mistake, on-loan AFC Bournemouth midfielder Whitfield seemed to have earned a first win of the season for the visitors.

But the contest ended all square in a frantic finish when former Hereford United striker Rankine's sweet low shot found the bottom corner to ensure the visitors stay bottom of the National League.

Harriers took the field at Moss Lane with two debutants, both of whom have come on loan to Aggborough from Premier League clubs.

Goalscorer Whitfield (Bournemouth) and striker Joe Ward (West Brom), who have both come on one-month loans, take the number of players signed since the departure of manager Gary Whild to six.

Kidderminster Harriers head coach Dave Hockaday told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"I'm very angry and frustrated. That definitely feels like a defeat. We've gifted them a goal.

"It's just gone straight in off a corner. We've scored two great goals, we're playing all the football then we give away a free kick and they score.

"To concede in the 95th minute, when we've dominated for large stretches, I feel for the vast majority of my players."
