St Mirren 1-4 Hibernian

James Keatings scored a hat-trick as Hibernian came from behind to beat St Mirren and stay within five points of Scottish Championship leaders Rangers.

Sean Kelly's strike put the Buddies ahead early on but Hibs quickly levelled through Jason Cummings' shot.

Keatings then netted twice with efforts from outside the box as the visitors took control before the break.

A foul on Liam Henderson led to a penalty for Hibs and Keatings completed his treble from the spot.

Two goals inside four minutes from Keatings put Hibs in the driving seat.

The forward drilled into the far corner following a quickly-taken free-kick and added another by curling into the top corner following a flowing move.

Earlier, Keatings had helped set up Cummings' 13th goal of the season, which followed Kelly's strike from inside the box.

St Mirren, who appointed former Hibs manager Alex Miller as assistant during the week, saw substitute Lawrence Shankland hit a post before Keatings claimed the match ball from the penalty spot.

The win extends Hibs' unbeaten run in all competitions to 13, winning 12 of them, while the Buddies are still searching for their first home league victory this season and remain third bottom.
