Celtic's Leigh Griffiths wins October player of the month award

Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths has won October's Scottish Premiership player of the month.

The 25-year-old scored six times last month, including four in the league.

His other goals came in a 2-2 Europa League draw with Fenerbahce and the 2-1 League Cup win over Hearts, in which he also set up the eventual winner.

So far this season, the Scotland cap has netted on 18 occasions with his side top of the Premiership and through to the semi-finals of the League Cup.

Griffiths also won the August player of the month award.
