Yeovil Town 0-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Yeovil dropped to the bottom of the Football League after a home defeat by Wycombe.

Glovers keeper Chris Weale was twice called upon to stop efforts from Garry Thompson, while Matt Ingram saved well from Ryan Bird's shot at the other end.

Luke O'Nien won it for the Chairboys in the 70th minute when he fired in an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out.

Yeovil, who were in the Championship in 2013-14, have not won a league game since 19 September.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:

Ainsworth on Yeovil v Wycombe

"The keeper was outstanding for Yeovil first half, he's kept them right in the game. It was going to take something special, some of the legs were tiring from Saturday and a wonder-strike has made it a complete team performance.

"It could have been more convincing but I'll take a 1-0.

"What we did is we started the game like we finished at Wimbledon, not giving them a chance and pressing really high and getting the ball forward quick.

"A special mention for the back five, they were fantastic and have the best defensive record in League Two."
