Rotherham have suspended midfielder Simon Lenighan, just a week after he joined the club.

On Thursday, the 21-year-old was given a 12-month community order, which includes 150 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to headbutting a woman in February.

Lenighan joined the Millers last Thursday after a spell in non-league.

The club say he has been suspended 'pending an investigation into the matter'.
