Ten-man Wycombe's promotion hopes were dented after two second-half goals saw Morecambe claim victory.

After a largely uneventful first half, Morecambe went in front after Shaun Miller scrambled the ball in for his ninth goal of the season.

The Chairboys' hopes were dented when goalkeeper Matt Ingram was sent off for bringing down Aaron Wildig in the box.

Defender Jason McCarthy went in goal but was unable to prevent Jamie Devitt's resulting penalty.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"We matched the weather with our play today. Morecambe came out as the better side and beat us 2-0. I have no complaints or arguments about that fact, we were just bad today.

"We slowed the footage right down on that penalty decision. Matt Ingram definitely gets something on the ball, he claims he did also, so I think its appeal time. Hopefully Matt will be available for the FA Cup if the card is reversed.

"We will put this right. We win and lose together, and we lost today, but thank you to the fans for singing right up until to the end, keeping everybody's spirits up."
