Torquay United: Forward Louis Briscoe leaves by mutual consent

Louis Briscoe's contract at Torquay was due to expire at the end of the season

Torquay United have cancelled the contract of forward Louis Briscoe by mutual consent.

He signed for the National League strugglers on a free transfer in July 2014, and scored 10 goals in 60 appearances.

But the 27-year-old failed to hit the back of the net in 21 matches so far this season.

Briscoe began his career at Port Vale and made more than 180 appearances for Mansfield before joining Torquay.
