Bolton v Eastleigh: FA Cup upset possible, says Chris Todd

Eastleigh have only lost three of their last 19 games and have not been beaten away from home since September

Eastleigh boss Chris Todd believes they are capable of winning at Championship side Bolton in their FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday.

The Spitfires, who are the only non-league club left in the draw, held their opponents to a 1-1 draw in the original tie at the Silverlake Stadium.

"I've got good players, I really have," Todd told BBC Radio Solent.

"We have a lot of players that have played at that level and a lot that probably should be, in my opinion."

Todd's team will be looking to avoid a second cup exit in the space of three days after their 2-1 FA Trophy defeat by Gateshead.

Bolton, meanwhile, avoided an immediate winding-up order on Monday, with debts of £172.9m.

"The quality in my group is there, I know that, it'll just be about them personally performing on the day and if they do that then we showed last week that we can cause an upset," added Todd.

"To put Eastleigh in the same bracket as Bolton is quite amazing when you think about it - the club has really come on, it's growing day by day."

The prize for the winner is a home tie against Leeds, who lifted the FA Cup in 1972.
