Truro and Macclesfield had played out a 2-2 draw at Treyew Road on saturday
Truro City bowed out of the FA Trophy after losing 2-0 at Macclesfield Town in their second round replay.
Danny Whittaker opened the scoring after 20 minutes before Kristian Dennis converted a penalty late in the second half to seal the Silkmen's win.
National League South side Truro had held Macclesfield to a 2-2 draw at Treyew Road on Saturday.
It was the first time in the club's history that they had made it past the first round of the competition.
"It took a team that were seventh in the league above and pushing for promotion back into the Football League two games to beat us," Truro manager Steve Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"If we'd have kept it to 1-0 just for the last 10 or 15 minutes we might have nicked a goal because they started to get a little bit nervous and we started to dominate the play.
"But their effort, their desire and their ability to play at the higher level over the two games has been a big plus for us."
