Second-bottom Livingston moved to within a point of their opponents with victory over Dumbarton at Almondvale.

Liam Buchanan glanced a header wide before putting his side ahead just short of the half-hour, capitalising after the Sons had failed to clear.

Sons striker Calum Waters forced a decent save from goalkeeper Marc McCallum, who then denied Tom Walsh.

Dumbarton keeper Jamie Ewings thwarted Buchanan before half-time but Jordan White struck Livi's second late on.
