Wales forward Gareth Bale has returned to Real Madrid training after a minor leg injury.

He missed Real's 3-0 La Liga win over Villarreal on Wednesday.

Real posted pictures of Bale training on social media ahead of their trip to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, saying he "returned to training this morning!".

The 26-year-old has reached 16 goals for the first time in a La Liga season as Real Madrid thrashed Getafe 5-1 on Saturday.

Earlier this Bale's manager Zenedine Zidane was asked what the exact nature of Bale's injury was, but answered: "I'm not part of the medical team."

Bale was left out of Wales' squad for their March friendly matches against Northern Ireland and Ukraine as he recovered from a calf injury.
