Defender David Raven has signed a new two-year contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Scottish Premiership club say the 31-year-old has an option on the second year of the deal.

Raven has been with the Highland team since the summer of 2012 after spells at Tranmere, Shrewsbury and Carlisle.

"If we all stick together - the fans, players and staff - then I've no doubt we'll continue to be successful," Raven told the club website., external

"The support I've had from the fans over the last few weeks has been amazing and I am extremely pleased to have signed again for ICT.

"I hope to repay that loyalty with the performances it deserves and I'm now looking forward to the new season with its new challenges. If we all stick together - the fans, players and staff - then I've no doubt we'll continue to be successful."

Raven made 25 appearances this season but fell out of favour with now departed manager John Hughes, last starting a match on 6 February.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Dean Brill is leaving Inverness CT.

The 30-year-old missed all of last season after dislocating his knee in April 2015.
