James McKeown: Grimsby Town goalkeeper signs new deal

James McKeown joined Grimsby from Boston in June 2011

Grimsby Town goalkeeper James McKeown has signed a new two-year deal with the newly-promoted League Two side.

The 26-year-old helped the Mariners return to the Football League with a 3-1 win over Forest Green in last month's National League promotion final.

He has made 225 league appearances for the Blundell Park side in his five seasons with the club.

"I wanted to take a bit of time to weigh up my options. I always wanted to sign," he told the club website.
