Stuart Nelson: Gillingham goalkeeper signs new contract until 2018

Stuart Nelson has played 161 league games for Gillingham

Gillingham goalkeeper Stuart Nelson has signed a new two-year deal with the League One club.

The 34-year-old was an ever-present for the Gills last season, keeping 14 clean sheets in 51 appearances in all competitions.

Former Brentford, Leyton Orient and Notts County keeper Nelson moved to Priestfield in 2012 and has featured a total of 179 times for the club.

Meanwhile, former Gills winger Jermaine McGlashan has joined Southend United.
