League Two side Barnet have signed Alex Nicholls and Ryan Watson following their departures from Exeter City and Leicester City respectively.

Forward Nicholls, 28, spent two years with the Grecians, scoring 13 goals in 71 appearances.

He has previously had spells at Walsall and Northampton Town.

Midfielder Watson, 22, came through Leicester's youth system, but only featured once for the Foxes in the League Cup.

Watson had a spell on loan at Northampton last season, scoring once in 15 outings.

The pair are Barnet's first two signings of the transfer window. The details of their contract with the club have not been revealed.

Meanwhile, the Bees have taken former Shrewsbury Town striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro on trial.
