Niall Mason: Doncaster Rovers' on-loan Aston Villa defender to miss eight weeks

Niall Mason made his professional debut for Doncaster in their defeat by Accrington on 6 August

Doncaster Rovers' on-loan Aston Villa defender Niall Mason will be out for eight weeks with a knee injury.

Mason was hurt in the second half of Doncaster's 1-1 League Two draw with Crawley Town on 13 August.

The 19-year-old, who has yet to make a senior appearance for Villa, has played three games this season.

Meanwhile, on-loan Bolton left-back Tyler Garratt will be out for a month after suffering an ankle injury in Rovers' win over Cambridge on Tuesday.
