Russell Penn: Gateshead sign Carlisle United midfielder

Russell Penn began his career at Scunthorpe United
Carlisle United have loaned midfielder Russell Penn to National League side Gateshead on a one-month deal.
Penn, 30, joined the Cumbrians from relegated York City in the summer but has made just two substitute appearances so far this season.
He was captain at Bootham Crescent before his departure, scoring five goals in 109 games.
"It's an opportunity for him to get competitive game time," Carlisle boss Keith Curle told the club website., external
