International call-ups hit Truro City as Rory Fallon and Louis Rooney go away

Truro City will be without two players for their game with Dartford after they were called up for international duty.

The National League South side's striker and player-coach Rory Fallon links up with New Zealand for their games with Mexico and the USA.

Meanwhile, on-loan Plymouth Argyle youngster Louis Rooney is away with Northern Ireland's under-21 side.

"It does seem strange, but it's fantastic for the club," Truro City manager Lee Hodges said.

Fallon, 34, joined Truro in the summer following Hodges' appointment and has won 23 caps for his country.

He scored the only goal as the All Whites beat Bahrain in a play-off to reach the 2010 World Cup and played in all three of New Zealand's matches in South Africa as they drew with Italy, Slovakia and Paraguay.

Rooney, 20, made one first-team appearance for his parent club before joining Truro on loan in September.
