Dave Rihoy celebrates getting Guernsey's first goal

Boss Tony Vance was delighted to see Guernsey FC put 'the fun factor' back into their play as they ended their six-game winless run.

The Green Lions beat Sittingbourne 2-1 to rise a place to 20th in Isthmian League Division One South

Dave Rihoy gave Guernsey the lead just before half-time and Tom De La Mare sealed the win in the last minute ahead of an even later goal by the visitors.

"We asked the lads to enjoy themselves and play bravely," Vance said.

"We tried to go back to the Guernsey way of playing, because there's been a bit of stress about the place.

"I said 'let's get the fun factor back into it and the smiles on the faces and the football should come', and generally I thought it did," he told BBC Radio Guernsey.
