Truro City manager Lee Hodges says he is pleased that his side did not repeat their poor FA Cup showing as they beat Frome Town 6-1 in the FA Trophy.

Two goals for Aaron Bentley and River Allen, a Niall Thompson penalty and one from Andrew Neal sealed the win.

It was a first cup victory of the season for Truro, who went out of the FA Cup after a 4-0 loss to lower-league Winchester City in September.

"The boys have carried on the good work of the past few weeks," said Hodges.

"We spoke about Winchester in the FA Cup and how disappointing it was to go there and put in the kind of performance that got us knocked out.

"I didn't want us to do that in the Trophy, I wanted us to carry on the good work that we've been doing," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
